So I got a new computer desk and needed to re-shuffle the furniture in the library, which meant that the papercraft that were sitting on my shelves needed to come down for a mandatory dusting.

This is all that I have left, some have gone to better homes!

I did make a Magikarp [link] , but it was one of the pokedolls. There is a proper Magikarp, but I didn't build it: [link]

Practice and patience are pretty crucial for most crafts, lol! But good luck with building more in the future.

Hahaha, yeah, my first ones were pretty terrible, too - you gotta start somewhere, right? But I tell you, if you get the right paper and glue, it's amazing how much better your builds are, trust me.

the first one i made i used card stock..bad decision..i was shiny but it was a pain in the ass fold

Yeah, finding the right weight paper that suits your build-style is hard; there's a lot of trial and error. I've never used card stock, I aim for 150-200gsm paper. I believe, in the US, you can get some from your local Staples.

ive been using printer paper..i used some of my art paper and it turned out horrible...it was textured so the ridges got more ink then the paper soo it looked like a paper towel

80gsm printer paper is just too thin and anything you make out of it will look rubbish, even if you are the most experienced papercraft test builder. Just don't do it, lol!
