Miniblin No. 1 Papercraft by Skele-kitty Miniblin No. 1 Papercraft by Skele-kitty
This is a beta-test for PMF for his latest Wind Waker enemy model called a Miniblin (Miniature Forrest Goblin). According to Wiki, "They attack with tiny pitchforks, and often appear in unending swarms" ... but look at how cute they are!

Be warned, it is a very difficult model to build - I stuffed up the right hand! But I wasn't about to reprint the entire page for one little hand!

PMF had made alterations and corrections to the original beta model, and you can get the final release here:

And you can still get the base from here:

Really nice! I'd like to do this and his belly-flop companion, but I only have two cardstock sheets left, and can't find new ones... T^T
Anyway, the two files have different sets of colours inside them, but how can you change it? I mean, I really prefer the belly-flop colour pattern, but I prefer this model, so I'd like to change its colour and make it green...

Thank you.

When you open up the .PDO in Pepakura Veiwer, you go to "settings" and then "Texture Settings" and then you can change each aspect of the models textures from there.

Oh man, you should see mine - it's gotta be at least 2 inches tall!

I feel really bad, because I keep pushing back Pixel-Kakashi's Gengar - I've already told him that I was going to do it.

Firstly, I'll beta for PMF, then I'll definitely do Gengar ... that is unless DaredevilBR finishes of his latest, then it'll get pushed back ... again!

I have a few that's printed out. Then, I also have a folder on my computer of the stuff I wanna do. Enough to last me until my eyes go out. And yet, I keep looking for more.

Man, after Going Merry, this will be a breeze!

This final version will be a piece of cake, for you, but just remember to refer to the PDO when in doubt!

yeah...it would be nice if i had a labtop...my mom won't let me work on papercrafts at the computer table, even though it would save a bunch of trees. ...and squids :D

I totally know what you mean - I really want a laptop! It would make my papercrafting life so much easier!

No more running back and forth from the family room (where I papercraft) to the computer (on the opposite end of the house) just to see how a fold/join worked.

Hey, you know, they aren't really that expensive anymore. You can get one of those neat little Acer 8.9" Netbooks (1GB RAM/120GB HDD) for ~AU$600 ...

... Hmmm

There's an idea! :highfive:

problem is the $$$. it took me about 2 years to save up for a wii ($250). i hardly get any money. and my mom wouldn't like it if i suddenly came home with a labtop.

Fair enough.
There's always X-mas just around the corner ... be SUPER good and do extra chores without being asked! I'm pretty sure that'll go a long way to getting something real nice that you want!

Stay tuned ...

Yeah, I get mine from OfficeWorks.
The brand is HP Colour Laser 250 sheet ream.
It has a "reorder number: CHP340" ... whatever that means! ;)

How do you and PaperBuff make your builds so neat?
You did a great job on this, even the white lines look clean. O_O

On my papercrafts, some of the white lines are obvious while some are almost invisible. =/

I think the key is the glue - I use Power Pritt Gel.

If you have strong, fast-setting glue and you don't have to handle the paper more than is really necessary.

- Good paper (120gms)
- Emboss neatly
- Cut accurately (scissors)
- GOOD glue!

That's pretty much it!

Aside from the horns (that are just on top of the head, not really part of the whole) it still looks pretty awesome! Or did you do some camera tricks? :P

Nice job :)

And do you have more of these stages? I think I'll be posting them on the blog. The round ones you gave earlier looked great as well!

No tricks! :paranoid:

OK, I confess I did Photoshop on the background - where the two bits of cardboard met I did used the "healing brush", but I would have used a bigger piece of card ... if I had some! :shh:

I do have more of those stages - I believe I left a link for the folder that contains all of them somewhere on the forum, but just because it's you, I'll give it to you again:
[link]

I wish I could remember where I downloaded them from ... the website had a number of models, including a model of a boy/girl in a long white robe/dress whielding a sword ... :P

OOOOOH! I remember, now, it was from:
