"Does My Bum Look Big In This?"

This is Icthius7's Power-Up Mushroom and A ShyGuy, both regular characters in the Mario series of games, and both really excellent examples of the wonderful 3D models that paper manipulation can achieve.

I just started paper crafting, I was wondering what kind of paper do you use? I know it's preferred to use thick paper but I'm just not sure how thick?

Hey, congratulations! I hope you enjoy papercrafting as much as I do.
I personally would recommend you get paper that is 120-180gsm. This is my personal preference. I know that a lot of people like using +200gsm, but to me this is bordering on card-stock, and you end up having to deal with visible white edges.
Also, read this: [link]
Good luck :)
